Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Purple Compass Digital (registration number 202603197219 / IP0629581-X), a business registered in Malaysia, handles personal data on this website and in the mobile applications we publish on Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Each application also carries its own privacy disclosure on its store listing and inside the application. Where an application collects something not described here, that disclosure takes precedence and will always be more specific, never less.

What this website collects

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It does not ask you to create an account. If you send us an email, we hold that message and your email address so we can reply.

What our applications collect

We build applications to work without an account wherever that is possible. Depending on the application, the following categories may apply.

Information you enter. Details you type into an application, such as a saved preference, a date or a profile. Unless the application clearly states otherwise, this stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Device and diagnostic information. Crash reports and basic technical data used to find and fix defects. This is collected through Google Firebase.
Advertising identifiers. Applications that show advertising use Google AdMob, which may access your device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings at any time.
Purchase records. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple. We receive a confirmation that a purchase is active. We never receive or store your card number.

Why we use it

To make the application work and remember your settings.
To diagnose crashes and fix defects.
To operate advertising and subscriptions where an application uses them.
To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who else processes data

We use a small number of established service providers, each bound by their own privacy terms.

Google (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play billing)
Apple (App Store and in-app purchases)

These providers may process data outside Malaysia. Where that happens, it is done under the safeguards those providers publish.

How long we keep data

Data stored on your device. Kept until you delete it in the application or uninstall the application.
Crash and diagnostic data. Retained for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Email correspondence. Retained for up to 24 months from your last message, then deleted.
Purchase and transaction records. Retained for 7 years where Malaysian tax and accounting law requires it.

How to delete your data

You can remove data held on your device at any time by deleting it inside the application or by uninstalling the application.

For anything we hold, email contact@purplecompassdigital.com with the subject line Data deletion request and tell us which application you used. You do not need an account to make this request. We will confirm within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep, which we will identify to you.

Your rights

Under the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, limit how we use it, or delete it. Send any of these requests to contact@purplecompassdigital.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

Our applications are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data sent between your device and any service we use travels over encrypted connections. Access to the accounts we operate is protected by two factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep the amount of data we collect as small as we can.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will say so in the affected application before the change takes effect.
